In the past couple years the craft beer sales have shot up. Many people are looking to branch out from your mainstream beers like Miller and Budweiser. Mogul Madness Ale is a seasonal beer they produce in the winter months. It has a hoppy, caramel aroma, dark burgundy in color with an off white head. It has intense citrus flavor with a complex hint of nut, berries and mocha flavors. It has a long finish that lingers in your mouth for at least 15 seconds. This beer goes well with poultry and spicy foods. Its one of those beers that on a cold winter night it can warm your soul a little. If your a person that does not like a lingering finish or after taste as some people call it this is not your beer. If your looking for a great winter ale that is crafted beautiful with all the warmth of a snowy day this is your beer. You can find it in 22 oz bottles, look for it in the winter time but not every liquor store will carry this beer.

I am a huge IPA fan and try new ones at every chance I get. For years I was a person that believed that the best IPA made was Stone's IPA. A couple weeks ago I had a IPA that took over as my favorite and it is Rogue's Yellow Snow IPA. This IPA like all good IPA is a golden color with a hoppy fruity aroma. It has a big hop flavor up front then complemented by a medium body and hoppy mid pallet. This beer finishes with a bitterness that lingers in your mouth. This beer is great with beef and hot and spicy food. As much as this beer has a bitter finish it is a very refreshing beer that once you have you will want again and again. You can buy the beer in 22oz, 64oz bottles and 5L keg cans. This beer is tough to find since they are only delivered to stores in November and December. If you find it buy it and try it especially if your a big IPA fan.
